SELC contributes to society through the development of innovative technologies that enable more efficient street lighting systems to be deployed worldwide and in the process enabling our customers to save energy and reduce carbon emissions.
“Since the company was first established, SELC’s core technologies have evolved into what can be characterised today as power electronics and timing circuitry design, light sensing and photocell control and streetlight communications technologies (Powerline or wireless).
SELC continues to move into new business fields and markets, which include such areas as environmental management and control, high power HID lamp ballasts, LED Lamp drivers and other complementary areas. In recent years, we have added wireless communications to our core technologies and we are developing advanced photocells for emerging markets.
Our corporate slogan, “Power Behind Light,” expresses SELC’s commitment to contributing to society through innovations based on our three core technologies. In addition to delivering pioneering advancement in SMART Electronic Ballasts, SMART photocells and time clocks, we will also be focusing our R&D efforts on creating new value for major areas of interest to our customers such as Environment / Water / Energy / Air Quality / Communications and traffic control.”
